The central theme of this collection is the pocket — a sacred space where our most intimate treasures are hidden, held, and kept safe to be rediscovered: identity, intimacy, and all that is truly valuable.

Inspired by the traditional “fruit-gathering pockets” sewn into the garments of rural women in generations past, this collection reimagines the pocket as a powerful feminine symbol — an emblem of the vagina, the foundation of female identity. It is the primal, motherly archetype of the receiver, the gatherer, the safe-keeper, and the lover.

This collection is an homage to Frida Kahlo — a symbol of strength, vulnerability, and fearless feminine expression. More than a muse, Frida is an eternal icon: a visionary, a wounded healer, a woman who transformed pain into power and suffering into art.

Her life was marked by physical and emotional trials. After surviving polio as a child, she was left with a limp she often disguised beneath flowing skirts. A brutal bus accident in her teens shattered her body, leading to countless surgeries, lifelong pain, and the inability to bear children.

This collection is a reflection of my soul’s search for authenticity. It transcends pretense and illusion. It is an invitation to accept all parts of ourselves — to allow vulnerability, to honor our delicacy, and to see the beauty in what is soft and real.

Into Me See takes what lives within and brings it outward, for our external reality is always an expression of our inner world. It began with awareness — emotional, mental, and spiritual — and grew through a process of slowing down and turning inward.
